Find A Penny DON'T Pick it Up
In today's society, Americans are focused on moving forward; constantly creating innovative technology capable of conserving precious time. As shown in a study (Source B) the average person wastes about 4 hours per year all because of the pesky penny. In addition to devaluing the time of modern day Americans, "it takes nearly a dime today to buy what a penny bought back in 1950" (Source C). "It is practically useless in everyday life!" (Source A). Abolishing the penny would keep Americans on an upward trajectory, for abolition would conserve time and benefit the economy.

You raise some points that I had not considered before such as the amount of time lost that accumulates from searching for pennies. I didn't think about the importance of maintaining an "upward trajectory" but your statistics and choice of sources definitely prove the benefits that could come from abolishing the penny. Also, your thesis is very cogent and clear.
